EIS specializes in the production of custom, portable Hammond organ consoles tailored to your specific needs and tastes.
Although EIS custom organs are commonly referred to "chopdowns", don't let the name mislead you. Apart from their size and weight, there is nothing chopped about these instruments. Constructed from a vintage Hammond console organ of your choice, each keyboard is crafted with the utmost attention to detail, reliability and performance. Preamp and wiring layout has been meticulously designed to provide ease of servicing and to reduce weight and noise.
The basis of the project - the Hammond organ itself - can be supplied by the client or EIS. All original playing dimensions and spacing are maintained so the organ feels like a stock console to the player. Typically, a finished organ weighs just over 200 lbs, with case dimensions 46 1/8" wide, 10 1/2" high and 30 3/8" deep. Prices vary, depending on modifications desired, wood species, finish and the model of your console. Please note - empty cases and related hardware items are not sold separately.
